Singapore-born Cheryl-Ann Tan (known as Anya to Russian friends) has lived in Russia from 2003-2006 and is no stranger to many Russians in Singapore and Singaporeans in Russia. A published writer, she has written for Passport Magazine Moscow, a colour glossy for expatriates living in Moscow. She was also a political analyst and Russia expert for an American non-government organization. She currently studies Creative Writing and Marketing at Queensland University of Technology.
